PA into VA

After leaving Pennsylvania we found a great little spot for the night at a scenic overlook off of state RT 48 in West Virginia. Opon pulling in we found lots of graffiti on the pavement. It wasn't anything impressive either, just highschool kid chicken scratch...I love so n so and so on. The graffiti was concerning that we may have to fend of some kids with spray paint trying to tag our rig in the middle of the night. Though that never happened and we got a wonderful night's rest. I've included a link to a short video below of the view walking off of the bus stairs in the morning.

We continue south in the morning after cleaning Alice's windshield to capture some time laps footage. Through West Virginia into Virginia. We had a cloudy semi rainy day of travel into Virginia. Along the route we stopped into Lost River State Park for a short hike and some sights. The white cabin pictured below is the cabin built by Robert E. Lee's Grandfather in year 1800!! It was a nice little park and a great stop to stretch the legs.

4 miles in VA time lapse (ends due to rain)

Once we arrived at our home in the mountains of Virginia for the next couple days we began to unpack and settle in. Home is a nice little campground called North River Campground outside of Staunton, Virginia.

(fee area for the campground, only $5.⁰⁰ a night!)

This campground is only 9 primitive sites with fire rings. There are pit toilets available, but no other amenities can be found. Not even cell phone coverage. Zero service for both at&t and Verizon. That being said, no service makes for easy sleeping. No social media or websites to scroll while laying in bed. Just curl up with a book of your choice and read til you wake in the morning.

We will be here for a couple nights, during that time we will plan our next move. Thanks for tuning in!
