Old RT 105 Western North Carolina

We got pretty decent sleep at our pull off the road campsite. Carmen was quick to get things set up to be home for a while. Fetching a fair amount of firewood and making a couple small repairs/improvements to Alice as well.

We both worked through the day creating works for the upcoming show and commissions. Stoking a fire in the afternoon made for a great time to catch up on blog posting and crocheting.

It was a nice relaxing day, working rather than driving was a nice change. Thanks for tuning in!

I'll start out by saying we have been quite busy during our post hiatus for the last week or so and are eager to get you all up to date. While still in Homestead, FL., Carmen on his morning search through the local classified ads has found our next adventure for both our business and lifestyle.  We are now proud bus owners! 34' long bumper to bumper thomas built 3800 We had taken a brief break from the blog posts due to this purchase and the changes it has immediately brought to our lives. We are now awaiting the paperwork and plates in the mail, eager to start the build.  We decided that a trip to NY was in our near future plans, both to surprise a special someone for their birthday and to gather tools to begin taring out the seats and flooring in the bus. Day 24 in St. Augustine, FL

A beautiful day was in the forecast so we had a quick cup of coffee at camp and headed out for a day in St. Augustine.  Michelle found some cool yarn for sale on Facebook marketplace and it was on our way to st Augustine, so we made a stop there on our way.   Map of the area Carmen has several tee shirts from A1A Alehouse, from his Mom’s travels so we stopped there first for a late breakfast/early lunch.  Michelle had her favorite meal of shrimp & grits and a Bloody Mary. Carmen had grilled shrimp and a fried polenta cake with an IPA. We then took a short walk to Dog Rose Brewing and sampled some of their beer on a flight while hanging out on the patio. Day 19, 20, 21 Palm Bluff Conservation Area

We began our next day with coffee and breakfast prepared on the wood stove. After a pleasant beginning to the day we headed off toward New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach, FL on the ocean side of the state. Our plan for today is explore and make connections for possible sales in the future. Stopping by a few flea/farmers markets and local shops to get an idea of the market in the area.  The picture doesn't do it justice, the massive roof in this picture is a maze of buildings all connected to make the most massive semi permanent flea market I have ever experienced.
