Mid March
As we cross over the ides of March the weather stays warm and we hammer down on creating more inventory and finishing up a few more custom orders. Carmen has been receiving packages almost daily for the bus build. We have many parts and tools lined up for the 5 hour trip south to go fetch the bus. That being said we officially have confirmation from the Vermont DMV that our paperwork was all approved and our plates are in the mail. This is a massive step in the beginning of the bus conversion. The registration is a massive step because it solidifies our bus being recognized by government as a motorhome. Now that our bus is recognized as a motorhome there are no restrictions on licensing or weight requirements. Meaning that if you have a regular driver's license it is legal for you to operate our bus without a commercial drivers license (CDL).

We have a few things we have to do before the journey from homestead fl back here to plant city. All of the vinyl decals that are on the bus must be removed or covered. As well as the stop sign removed.
Some tools that will be used for decal removal
The one issue that we were made aware of upon purchase of the bus is the front steering tires. The tires are worn quite a bit. And unevenly worn at that. We have purchased a couple new front steering tires, and Carmen has spent countless hours doing research on tools and tips on doing a front end allignment for the bus, and he's confident he will correct the issue. Surprisingly there isn't a big huge fancy machine for doing this. It is all in the tape measure.

After the tires and alignment are complete we will hopefully have the decals removed by then and we will be ready for the road after a quick once over of the motor to check fluids and filters as needed. All fluids and filters are planned to be changed as soon as we arrive back in plant city, provided they are suitable for the trip up to plant city.

All of our experiences and tasks along our bus build journey will be documented and posted online for entertainment or reference for others. These videos will be recorded with Michelle's new GoPro camera and uploaded to our social media sites. If you search us up be sure to like, follow, and subscribe.

If you didn't notice we have chosen the name Alice for our bus. With plans to paint the exterior in an alice in wonderland themed mural. Michelle's daughter and her partner are exceptional artists to say the least, they have agreed to create a masterpiece upon on our canvas once we return to New York.
So in conclusion we are waiting for a couple more tools needed for the tire job to arrive in the mail. Once those arrive we will load the Jeep with the tires and various other tools to prep the bus for the drive back. Hitting the road for homestead fl to attempt to get all the prep work done before the plates arrive so we can slap em on and hit the road back to plant city.
Thanks for tuning in!
How awesome...Alice...I like it! I always say, "A" names rule!!! Love you guys. Taylor is a hugh Alice in Wonderland fan, too! Thus her tatoos! Looks like you have your work cut out for you, but the planning you are doing, will certainly pay off. Love Mom
