I'll start out by saying we have been quite busy during our post hiatus for the last week or so and are eager to get you all up to date. While still in Homestead, FL., Carmen on his morning search through the local classified ads has found our next adventure for both our business and lifestyle.  We are now proud bus owners! 34' long bumper to bumper thomas built 3800 We had taken a brief break from the blog posts due to this purchase and the changes it has immediately brought to our lives. We are now awaiting the paperwork and plates in the mail, eager to start the build.  We decided that a trip to NY was in our near future plans, both to surprise a special someone for their birthday and to gather tools to begin taring out the seats and flooring in the bus. We are now headed back into the sunshine and quickly back out of the snow. As we left behind several feet of snow in the yards of our loved ones in Central NY. Day 33-39 South Florida

We left the Tampa area to head south and meet up with our friend Tasha who was heading down from Syracuse to spend some time with us.    We met her at Miami airport and brought her back to our “home base” in Homestead, FL.   Carmen dressed for the occasion.  Of course our first stop was a brewery!  We stopped in at Lincoln’s Beard for some tasty IPAs.  Cool murals on the walls!  For Tasha’s second day here we headed to Key West to show her some of our favorite places from our last visit.   It was a beautiful day at the southern most point.  Drinking Pina Coladas for our stroll around.  It’s pretty cool that there are bars in the street serving drinks to walk around with!  Rainbow crosswalks 🌈 Seemed to be a fitting sign!  We hung out at our favorite Key West bar called Schooners Wharf and actually stopped there for lunch and went back for live music and drinks later in the evening.   For lunch we had oysters, shrimp...

Days 28-32 Tampa Area

We decided to visit a local brewery and found one about 15 minutes away called Keel Farms .  This place started as a blueberry farm in the 30s and since then has grown into a winery, brewery and cider house.   We tried a flight of wine and a flight of beer.  Their wines were all berry flavored so they were very sweet.  Their beer was excellent though!   I highly recommend this place, we had so much fun there! U pick strawberries  Pretty grounds to walk Flights and an order of nachos  On our way to Clearwater we took a slight detour to drive past the Tampa Bay football stadium getting ready for the big game!  We went to a cool shop in Dunedin and Michelle bought a cork hat.  They had a whole variety of different styles and they are waterproof and stain resistant.  We had to stop and try out the local recommended brewery called Dunedin Brewing for a couple beers and some cauliflower wings before heading on. Outdoor ...
