Day 9 Key West to Homestead, FL

We packed the Jeep up and headed back north on US Route 1. After a bit we took a little break at Florida Keys Brewing Company for a couple IPAs and some brewery swag.

Continuing on we landed in Homestead, Florida at our HipCamp (kinda like Air B&B but for camping) for the next few days.  It’s a located on a farm with free range chickens, cows and many other animals too.  The chickens are bigger than sunshine!

Setting up camp

Look at that tongue!
As night fell we completed a simple set up being we won't be in this location too long and the plan for the day is to head out to Key Largo and snorkel the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. So we will only be at our HipCamp site for sleep and cooking can be done in a provided by the HipCamp host camp kitchen area.
We had to use the woodstove to dry out the tent canvas, due to the morning dew left behind from the Everglades. Making for a nice warm tent to snuggle up and go to sleep in for the night. Thanks for tuning in.
