Day 4&5 - Flamingo Everglades NP

We have been busy hiking, canoeing, relaxing, creating, and most of all enjoying 80 to 85 degree temps with a steady wind for the two days we have been in the Everglades. Here are some pictures of things we have captured along our journey. We hope you enjoy!

Gorgeous clear blue skies down here!

A blue jellyfish?? He was moving around on the shoreline with his tentacles.

I’ve seen lots of dead horseshoe crabs on the beach in Maryland but this is a whole bunch of live little ones on the shoreline.

A big crocodile sunning on the boat ramp.  Crocs have their teeth showing when their mouth is closed and they live in salt water.

Air plants are all over the place just living in the trees.

The Spanish moss looks magical in the hardwood hammocks.

We got to borrow a canoe from our camping neighbor and took a little trip out on West Lake.

Canoe trip on day 4 throughout Hell's Bay canoe trail.Headed back to camp after Hell's Bay canoe trailManatees spotted near the boat launch canal
Some sea birds along a hike mid dayBeautiful purple flower spotted on a hike around the camping grounds.
A large strange bug found shading itself on the tent side when we returned from our canoe trip
Thanks for stopping by we will have another post in the next day or two to conclude our stay here at Flamingo, Everglades National Park, FL.
