Day 11 North to Inverness, FL camp at Potts Preserve
We slept great and got an early start on our almost 6 hour travel day. Rain was expected last night in to this morning but thankfully didn't show. That being said the air is so heavy with moisture down here the tent is completely soaked anyways and heavy to get packed up and ready for the road. Luckily we will be setting up again tonight and stoke another fire to dry things out.

As we drove along we stumbled across a National Preserve called Big Cypress and spotted some interesting wildlife, prompting the purchase of a bird identification book.

Trail map. Our campsite is located in the blewn up section on this map identified with a "P" tent symbol. This is a free campsite. But reservations must be made online. Vault toilet available, picnic table and fire ring supplied too.

What is soon to be camp location
Camp set up and fire wood processed and stacked to keep us warm for the chilly nights. Temperatures reaching mid 30's at night for the next couple days. Had to try a line in the river...no such luck.
The next few days will be fairly non eventful. Collection of fire wood, creation of products and relaxing at camp is on the agenda.
Thanks for tuning in!
